My friend Kristina never ceases to amaze me.  She is raising beautiful (and busy!) twin 4-year olds, writing a book and is now producing a documentary film.  Sometimes I wonder where she finds the energy and ambition to achieve it all…

….but, just the other day, I realized how she learned to confidently manage her life: she played sports as a young girl.  And she was really, really good.  So good that she earned a spot on Northwestern’s Women’s Basketball team.  Thanks to the passage of Title IX almost 40 years ago, young women like Kristina were granted the opportunity to excel in both sports and academics.  Since 1972, the number of women in college sports has increased by more than 450%. Pretty cool!

So, it comes as no surprise to me that Kristina is a producer for “In The Game,” a documentary that will explore how Title IX continues to impact thousands of young women across the country.
