Phew! I sure am glad I’m a homemade mother! Today I was busy dusting furniture when little Mack decided it was time for a diaper change. I put the dusting spray bottle down and brought him upstairs to take care of him. While I was out of sight, two-year old Evelyn took it upon herself to squirt the dusting solution in her mouth.
Oh no!!
She started crying, but I knew I had absolutely no reason to worry. I make my own dusting spray from nothing more than vinegar, water and olive oil. So, while the solution probably didn’t taste so great, it was no worse than a little salad dressing. All it took was a hug and a glass of water to make her feel better. Had I been using harsh commercial dusting spray I would’ve spent the night on the phone with poison control or at the ER – or both! I was relieved — yet again — to be a homemade mother!

That really is a great reason! I love that i can hand my kids the bottle of glass cleaner (vinegar & water) and let them help clean their fingerprints off the windows! And my daughter loves the lavender scent of the all-purpose cleaner i make with vinegar, dr. Bronners, borax, washing soda and water. I love natural cleaners.
