I receive plenty of reader emails with lots of questions about how and why and where. Here’s a few answers:
Where do you live?
We live in the great city of Chicago. Many people think we’re crazy for raising three kids in the middle of so much hustle-&-bustle, but city living really suits us. We walk everywhere (I hate driving), and in general most things we could ever need are within a 4 block radius of our home. Chicago is full of diversity and awesome restaurants and things to do. We are never bored.
Who is in your family?
I am married to Chris, a devastatingly handsome entrepreneur and overall amazing human being. We have three kids – Evelyn (5), Mack (3) and Vivian (1). Evelyn is a typical oldest child – very attentive and helpful and sweet. Mack is full of energy and likes to be the center of attention. Little Vivian is turning into a very patient yet opinionated young lady. I love them all more that I ever thought possible.
Seriously, what is the deal with cloth diapering?
Cloth Diapering is much easier than most people think. In reality, the only extra work is a few more loads of laundry per week. We use our own brand of Terra Baby diapers, and their pocket-style design makes cloth diapering easy for everyone.

What do you do in your freetime?
Um, freetime? With kids, working part-time, launching Terra Baby and this blog, I don’t have much time for anything else. I go to a fitness studio for an hour 6 days a week, so that is how I choose to spend time by myself.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My mom, for sure. She gracefully raised a large family in the country, constantly providing comfort and support and hot dinners. She made it all look so easy!
I’m inspired by any person who keeps moving in a positive and healthful direction. This includes my grandparents, my husband, the friendly cashiers at Trader Joe’s, my daughter’s teachers, the instructors at my fitness studio…
