I am not a very crafty person. AlthoughI have no idea how to turn something like a toilet paper roll into a bird house, I really enjoy the idea of crafting itself. Working with loved ones to create something unique and creative – what’s not to love about that?!

Today while Mack napped Evelyn and I crafted some homemade Christmas cards for her little girlfriends. I punched holiday-themed paper into circles and squares and she glued the pieces onto card stock. It was a simple activity that made a chilly November morning suddenly special. As we sat at her table we talked about Christmas, her friends, the shapes of the paper, what she wanted for lunch. What a lovely way to spend some time with my big girl!
