Little TOMS for Little Feet

Poor little Mack!  Two months ago we bought him two pairs of size 5 shoes.  I thought they fit him fine until the other day when I noticed a ragged toe nail.  I brought him to the Nordstrom’s kids shoe department, and it turns out that he’s now a size 6.  He never complained about the too-tight shoes, but, then again, how exactly would a 17 month old voice such a concern?!

The salesman at Nordstrom said I caught it “early” in comparison to most parents.  I guess lots of kids are walking around in shoes too small for their little feet because we don’t realize just how fast they grow!

I went into the store with the intention of buying him just two pairs – navy Crocs and brown Converse.  But, then the salesman suggested I also consider these adorable little TOMS, and I couldn’t resist.  I’ve seen plenty of hip adults walking around town with TOMS, but this was the first time I saw the kiddie version.  The hook with TOMS is that for every shoe purchased, TOMS donates another pair to a child in need.  Sounds good to me!

Mack LOVES his tiny TOMS – they fit him great and seem to be quite comfortable.  Plus, they are easy for me to slide on his perfect little feet.  My sister Colleen is getting married next month, and she thinks they are so cute that she’s having all four ring bearers wear black TOMS.  Awwwww!

I love my TOMS but didn’t realize they had them in kids’ sizes. So cute! I just might have to find a pair for my 20 month old!

  2. I didn’t know they made shoes for toddlers. I’m getting some this weekend for my son. They are so cute!
