The Summer of the Moscow Mule

I found my new favorite summer drink!  Last summer I couldn’t get enough of my Pimm’s Cup, but the summer of 2011 might turn out to be the season of the Moscow Mule.  Like a Pimm’s Cup, the Moscow Mule is made with a generous pour of Ginger Beer, a non-alcoholic brew that is strong on flavor.  Because I am a sucker for anything gingery, this is my kinda drink!

I am such a lightweight these days; all it takes is two of these drinks before I am done for the evening.  Hooray for summer!!

Moscow Mule

1/2 shot lime juice

2 shots vodka (!!)

Half a bottle of ginger beer (I love the strong flavor of Sioux City Ginger Beer)

Pour lime juice and vodka into a tall glass. Toss in lime shells, too.  Fill glass with ice.  Pour in ginger beer.  Give a good stir.  Enjoy!
