Season’s Greetings from Across the Miles

I am so fortunate to have a vast network of people I love spread throughout the world.  Friends in our neighborhood, family across the states and loved ones on different continents – sometimes I wish I could throw a huge party and invite everyone!  Since that isn’t feasible, our humble annual Christmas card will just have to do.  Its a small way to let everyone know just how much they are loved and missed and thought about.

One of my favorite things about the holiday season are the cheerful cards and letters.  I love opening up our mailbox to find a pleasant stack of holiday greetings.  I love it so much that my husband knows better than to open the envelopes on the days he collects the mail – he saves that joy for me! This year, I arranged the cards in a Christmas tree design on the back of our front door.  They are cheerfully layered on top of one another – a nice symbol of the blessed chaos in our home this time of the year!

Merry Christmas!
