Homemade Mothering Featured in Redbook Magazine

If you’ve got some extra time while you wait in line to check-out at the grocery store, flip through this month’s issue of Redbook Magazine.  Some of my tips and tricks for living on a budget are featured on page 138.  Living in a big city, we have to make every dollar count, and so we are very thoughtful with our money.  We want to have fun while being responsible.

Sticking to our budget encourages me to think outside the box.  Making things from scratch like homemade laundry detergent, homemade peanut butter and homemade yogurt saves money and can be really fun.  Giving up unnecessary modern-day luxuries like paper towels and fabric softener not only save money but also help out our planet.  Living frugally has taught me so much!
