Homemade Mother Loves Motherlove

I was recently asked to test out a few products from a company called Motherlove. Making healthy and beauty products from organic and easy to pronounce ingredients, this company aligns with my beliefs on health and wellness, so I enthusiastically agreed to check it out. After testing the products on myself and my babies, I am happy to give Motherlove the Homemade Mothering Seal of Approval.

Last month we were away from home for a few days, so Mack had to wear disposable diapers instead of cloth. He got a little redness on his bum, but the Motherlove Diaper Rash Salve cleared it up almost immediately. Evelyn asked for some to rub on her tummy, and I happily agreed as it is perfectly safe.

I also received a jar of 100% organic Green Salve, which promises to relieve the pain and itch of insect bites, bee stings, and poison ivy. We haven’t had any run-ins with multi-legged critters lately, but I’ve been using the Green Salve on my hands. Love it! I’m still a fan of using extra virgin olive oil on my skin, but this little jar sits quite conveniently at my desk for easy use.

Motherlove makes products for pregnancy , birth (like an organic herbal sitz bath), baby (like lavender baby oil), and breastfeeding (like nipple cream and fenugreek supplements) free from questionable ingredients like parabens and artificial fragrances. I really appreciate this well-rounded and holistic approach to caring for new moms and their babies.

Their nipple cream was so wonderful the first few weeks of breastfeeding. I was given a tune of lanolin, I think that’s what it was (purple tube) at a shower. But my little guy would have nothing to do with it. My mom came home with a little pot of the motherlove and he was happily feeding. I tasted both and I had to agree with him. All natural is better! I use it now on his little red spots in his rolls and underarm and on my hands! I took off the label though. My husbands friends get uncomfortable when they see the word nipple just sitting on the coffee table.
