I love finding businesses that offer products that align with my rather strict values on health and well-being. We absolutely avoid processed foods, but we all like a nice treat. So when I heard about Goodness Gracious Micro Bakery I was immediately intrigued. The orders are baked to order in a home kitchen nestled in a leafy Autin, Texas neighborhood. Its a charmingly hush-hush operation, and I felt like a food renegade when I placed my first order.
My delivery from Goodness Gracious felt like a present. I opened the simple white box to find a colorful stash of freshly baked cookies and truffles, and with the first bite I couldn’t help but smile. Baked with organic and all-natural ingredients, the treats cater to folks “who like their treats free of GMOs, hydrogenated fats, conveyor belts, preservatives and other modern-day wierdnesses.” Yep, that’s me.
Coming from a family with a Polish background, I have vivid memories of jam-filled kolachke cookies served at holidays and family functions. I was so excited to try the organic version from Goodness Gracious. They were light yet rich – the perfect mid-afternoon snack for the kids.
Even little Vivian couldn’t get enough of her first taste of kolachke!
The Raw Power Truffles from Goodness Gracious might be vegan, gluten free and organic, but they are truly decadent. Mack greedily reached for one right away with his pudgy little boy fingers. He loved it!
I love homemade treats, and I rarely buy store bought cookies and candies (too many weird chemicals on the ingredient lists). But Goodness Gracious will be my go-to source for new baby and housewarming gifts for friends and family who live far away. A little taste of home.

Maureen, I was so excited to see a bakery making kolachkes! My great grandmother was Czech and also made these. I haven’t found a bakery in Grand Rapids that makes them, and I was reminded instantly of her when I saw this post. Will have to try them 🙂

I am addicted to these! I like all of the kolatchke flavors and the mocha truffles. I agree that getting the little box in my mailbox feels like a present. I put the cookies in my toaster oven for one toast setting and I serve them to my kids (ok, me too!) with a glass of cold milk or English Breakfast tea. Yum!! I love that they are wrapped individually so its easy to toss them into lunch boxes. I like the lunches have a nice treat. Great idea for out of town gifts! I’m going to do that. Thanks for sharing!
Favorite homemade treat is devils food cake with chocolate ganache!!
My wife makes black walnut chocolate peanut butter fudge., not the non cook type, but the type that you have to cook. I love it!
