Flower Power!

For the first 20 months of her life, Evelyn was bald…and beautiful. But, in the past couple months her curly blond hair has grown longer and thicker. Evelyn wakes up in the morning with bed head now, her hair a mass of soft tangled curls. I love running my fingers through her hair or combing it after a shower. While its still too short for any sort of style, she likes walking around with my hair ties as if she’s about to throw her imaginary Rapunzel locks into a long, flowing ponytail.

Evelyn is becoming a little girl with very clear likes and dislikes, and lately she seems to enjoy accessorizing her little bit of hair. Her current favorites are sweet little flower clips made by my friend Kerri. Kerri started making hair accessories after her girl was born, and it has grown from a hobby to a great business she can handle from home while her daughter naps. I think its really cool that Kerri can balance work and home in such a creative way.

Whereas with Nate, we could give him a short crewcut at a year, and expect it to be grown-in fully within a month. Funny how that goes, right?

That said, you got a gorgeous kiddo on your hands, Maureen!

Andy, Nate certainly has plenty of hair! It really is amazing to think just how different we all are. We are all our own person 🙂

He most certainly does – his hair's grown in from the full [accidental] Marine-style haircut we gave him last month. He'll be due for another shearing next week, which is apropos, since my in-laws will be out of town, and they hate it when we cut it short. Little do they understand that 1.) it's cheap for us and 2.) easiest to manage with a fussy one!

    =D
