Last Thursday morning Evie, Mack and I went for a walk to the nearby Jamba Juice. It was a warm, summery day and we were all so happy to get some fresh air. It wasn’t an exceptional morning – just a normal way to start the day in the heart of the big city.
Flash-forward 12 hours, and this is what I was looking at:
Welcome Vivian!
After nearly three days of what felt like off-and-on contractions, I went to the doctor for my regular weekly check-up. A quick ultrasound determined that there was no amniotic fluid protecting my baby. Without hesitation, the doctor sent me straight to the hospital to be induced. I had no time to pack a hospital bag, say good-bye to Evie and Mack or even have lunch. Six hours after the Pitocin started, my little gem was born. A wonderful little surprise – two weeks early!
