Avocado Matcha Smoothie

We go through a lot of avocados in our house. Like, three a day. It is one of the few veggies the twins will eat (they hate all fruit!), and Evie, Vivian and I could happily have avocado toast for breakfast every day. I love that something so creamy and fatty and delicious also happens to be completely healthy for us.

The inspiration for this smoothie recipe comes from Protein Bar. I am always so delighted when a restaurant offers matcha, so when I saw an avocado matcha smoothie on the menu I had to try it. It was delicious!

Avocado Matcha Smoothie

1 cup almond milk (we use homemade almond milk)

1/2 avocado

1 scoop collagen peptides (we are pretty loyal to Vital Proteins brand)

1 teaspoon high quality matcha powder

(or, instead of the collagen and matcha just use Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen)

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I really like Aria Designer Protein)

spoonful honey

crushed ice

Blend all ingredients til smooth. Enjoy!
