Steve’s Paleogoods for Chris

As I’ve written about before, we stick to a largely Paleo diet. Several years ago Chris suffered from severe stomach and gut problems, and as soon as he adopted a Paleo diet his problems disappeared. So, by default the kids and I eat a lot of Paleo-friendly meals. Pasta is a rarity in our house, but the kids love sandwiches!

For Chris, finding suitable snacks can be a challenge. Outside of fruit and nuts, he doesn’t have many options. So, when I was introduced to Steve’s PaleoGoods I knew it would be a fun treat to have a sampler pack delivered to Chris’s office. It arrived several weeks ago and he’s been happily snacking ever since. He feels good eating foods like this: minimally processed, nutrient dense, easily digestable.

My favorite treat from the sampler was the bottle of maple mustard dressing. Chris liked it on salad, but I *loved* it on a sandwich. Every ingredient is easily recognizable and pronouncable, unlike most conventional salad dressings. I also loved the Apple Pie Granola – served with my homemade almond milk it filled me up for an entire morning.

Another perk about Steve’s? Fifteen percent of proceeds from sales of Steve’s PaleoGoods go to Steve’s Club National Program – a non-profit that brings fitness, nutrition guidance and mentorship to at-risk youth. Cool!

Check it out here: http://www.stevespaleogoods.com/ I’ll be ordering several items for Chris’s stocking this Christmas, but shhhhh! don’t tell him 🙂
