HomemadeMothering is starting to become more than just a hobby for me. I love reading emails and comments from readers – connecting with so many fellow Homemade Mothers, Fathers and People makes me feel like our families and our planet are headed in the right direction.  Everyone’s kind words are giving me the motivation and focus I need to grow Homemade Mothering into something a little more than just this blog.

With all this in mind, I ordered a set of “blogness” cards.  They arrived yesterday, and they are So. Darn. Cute!  I ordered them from Homegrown Gems, a shop on Etsy.com.  Etsy is an on-line marketplace were creative people can sell homemade wares.  I could spend hours browsing through this site, but it took me only minutes to find a source for eco-friendly and adorable cards.  Marie at Homegrown Gems was so quick to respond to my questions and special requests (Can I add an extra line to the card? Yes! Can we put a green bird on it? Yes!).  I love giving my business to people who really care about their business.

Writing is my creative outlet, but sometimes I wish I had the creativity and time to make something tangible I could sell on Etsy.  For now, I’ll just have to wistfully peruse the site, letting my imagination get the better of me!
