Big Boy Ben’s Bobux Sandals

With summer here, the kids are running in and out of the house ALL THE TIME. They love playing with their neighborhood friends in our courtyard, splashing in the sprinkler, scootering to nearby parks. The sunshine feels so good!

We are a steadfast shoe-free household, and the kids really do respect this rule. But, with all the coming and going that comes along with summertime 3-year old Ben needed lots of help putting his shoes on multiple times a day. We needed a good pair of shoes the little fella could put on by himself. So I turned to my most trusted mom friends: my sisters. The four of us all have kids about the same ages, so chances are good that they have a solution to any problem I might have. My sister Meghan suggested we try out Bobux sandals, and I’m so glad we did!

Ben could hardly contain his excitement when the package arrived. He knew these were shoes were just for him, and since I told him he would be able to put them on by himself he did just that.

Ben’s new Bobux Wave Sandals are lightweight and flexible. The Velcro is easy for his little fingers to use, but strong enough to stay in place. The classic leather style will go with whatever outfit he puts together this summer (current favorite involves Notre Dame basketball shorts and a red Paw Patrol t-shirt).

And, he can put them on ALL BY HIMSELF!

Wow – $50 – $70 new on Amazon. Worth the price when the little feet grow so fast?

A comparable quality adult leather sandal would be at least double the price, and there is an equal amount of labor that goes into making a kids shoe versus an adult shoe. Most kids can get 6 months wear from 1/2 inch of growing room. Obviously every child is different in how fast they grow. The quality of Bobux shoes is fantastic and they truly design shoes that are best for developing feet.

it’s none of anyone’s business what a family chooses to spend..period.if you’re that envious just quit watching and stay off the troll network.
furthermore, troll jessie jay, whatever anybody chooses to spend on their family is their own concern. what a mean post!!

It might seem like a bit of a splurge, but my little guy is sensitive with certain materials. If the shoes are even a little bit scratchy or stiff he simply won’t wear them. I really like the softness of the Bobux – they are shoes he will happily wear all summer long. The fact that he can put them on all by himself is a major bonus 🙂

Also, this blog refers to “New Frugality” on the home page?

When he outgrows these shoes I will gladly hand them down to my adorable nephew Jace – so the shoes will live a very long life. Because they are a little pricier than cheap shoes from Target, I know they will last through at least two little boys. Which, to me, is the definition of frugality!
